Vision:

The Soldier for Life (SFL) Program improves Soldier, Family and Army readiness by developing a broad network of resources to support every Soldier, Veteran and Family member through all phases of their service.

Mission:

Soldier for Life networks with the community at large to shape education, employment, and health policies, programs and/or services on behalf of our Soldiers, Army Veterans and their Families.

Soldier for Life engages communities, organizations, businesses, and academic institutions in order to better understand all aspects of the "Veteran space."

 
  • Identify Gaps that Army Veterans, transitioning Soldiers and Families face
     
  • Introduce militaryand civilian audiencesto the Soldier for Life program

Network

Network

Soldier for Life fosters a broad network of key organizations across the US that provides educations, employment and health resources / opportunities.

 
  • Leverage the Army Network and Centers of Influence to connect Veterans to resources
     
  • Actively introduce / connect individuals and / or organizations that share a common purpose
     
  • Coordinate and synchronize with interagency stakeholders (DOL, SBA, VA, DHS, etc.)

Soldier for Life advises military and civilian audiences of the various policies, programs, resources, practices, and opportunities existing in the areas of employment, education, and health.
 
  • Serve as the "eyes and ears on Soldier, Veteran and Family re-integration on behalf of Secretary of the Army, Chief of Staff of the Army, and Sergeant Major of the Army
     
  • Educate and shape audiences on: 
  1. Transition and retirement policies
  2. Army CSPs
  3. Community Action Teams
  4. Hiring a Veteran

Inspire

Inspire

Soldier for Life seeks to inspire Soldier for Life to demonstrate pride in their Service, encourages Communities to take a team approach to a Veteran support, and motivates employers to hire Veterans. 
 
  • Encourage Soldiers of all eras to take pride in having served honorably, tell their Army story and to remain "connected" with our Army
     
  • Encourage employers to hire Veterans ("Inspire to Hire")
